*This is the "19th" painting in the series started by Charles Wilson Peale in the late 18th century. My client asked me to paint an authentic looking copy, but in researching the painting I discovered that Peale and his sons had reproduced the painting 18 times and in each one made slight and not so slight changes. I tried to honor their efforts and added my own take on this masterpiece.
